We are Anna and Ian!
As our stories are now overlapping as you read our profile, there is a lot that has led to this point for us and you. For us, it’s been 10 years of marriage and years of pursuing parenthood. We don’t know your story, but we want to share how hopeful we are to be parents!
The two of us met in college at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. We were in the same friend group for years, until we began dating and got married soon after in 2016. We’ve now been married ten years and love the life we’ve built together! Our marriage is built on our shared faith in God, deep respect for one another, sacrificial love, and being goofs together. We wouldn’t want to step into this chapter of parenting with anyone else by our side!
We live in Central Wisconsin where Ian is a science teacher at our local high school. Ian builds custom fishing rods and loves to spend time fishing. Anna works in campus ministry on the college campus in our town. She loves reading outside with a bubble tea in her hand.
We spend our time together boating on the river, going for walks downtown, and hanging in our yard with our chickens! We also have a cat named Coconut!
We’ve always known that we wanted to parent together. After years of infertility, Anna was diagnosed with uterine cancer. After a couple years of treatment, she had a hysterectomy to cure her cancer. Now that we are healthy (Anna is fully cancer free!!) and have worked through much healing, we are so ready to be parents through adoption! We are confident in our decision to adopt to love and care for a child as a part of our family!
Adoption is layered with heartache, commitment, love, and chosen family. We believe that our faith and the life circumstances we’ve navigated will set us up to learn how to hold all these dynamics together as a family.
We honor your choice of adoption. Thank you for reading about us and considering us to be adoptive parents for your child!
