Hello,
Our names are Nick, Amy, and Isaac, and we’d like to share a little about ourselves to help you make the best decision for your child.
Amy is the “dreamer”, She is always thinking of ways to improve and enjoy our lives. Nick is the “details” guy, who will sift through those plans to figure out how to make them happen.
In 2021, we were blessed with Isaac through adoption. Ever since we have been certain that we want to further expand our family.
We have been fortunate to find a home on the river where we can share many of our favorite hobbies with Isaac, and our future child. Some of those hobbies include kayaking, star gazing and hanging out on the pontoon.
Nick grew up in a very small town in northern WI. The kind of town where you don’t need to lock the doors, and you can leave your keys in the car. He was an all-conference in high school cross country and served in the army for nine years. He is one of four children with two brothers and one sister.
Amy spent half her childhood in southeast WI and the other half in Eau Claire WI. It was in Eau Claire where she found her love of being on the water while canoeing with family and friends on the Chippewa River. She is one of seven children with four sisters and two brothers. She was a volunteer firefighter and achieved her red belt in karate.
Nick’s dad is the local handyman and has passed that gene on to Nick. Nick is forever tinkering with something whether it be the lawnmower, the boat, or one of Isaac’s toys. He is a jack of all trades: carpenter, electrician, plumber, mechanic, IT, and the list goes on. He’s always willing to learn new things and loves to teach others. He especially enjoys working with Isaac.
Amy is a true nature enthusiast. She loves to be in her garden. She shares this passion with Isaac who always goes out with her to pick and eat the freshest cucumbers and tomatoes. His personal favorite is picking pears from the pear tree. Together they plant, harvest and even can some of their garden goodies.
Currently, Amy works from home in a sales role. This, combined with our in-home childcare, means she can spend most of her lunches and breaks with Isaac. She completed her master’s in business administration in December of 2023.
While Nick used to work on cars as a Master Mechanic, he currently works as a Mechanical Engineer designing heat treat ovens. He is also able to work from home whenever needed.
Isaac is forever on some type of adventure. Playing cowboy, spiderman, hulk, and green goblin. Some of his favoriteactivities are playing basketball and tag with the neighborhood kids.
He always wants to participate in whatever we are doing. Many times, he will help mom in the kitchen, opening cans, cracking eggs, and putting away dishes. He loves to work on projects with dad, like fixing cars and using his power wheels to “mow” the lawn.
Isaac also just started to play games with us, such as Connect Four, Go Fish and Bed Bugs. Some of his other favorites are swimming lessons, Sunday School, and playing with our babysitter’s grandkids.
We have been blessed to a part of large families with siblings. We value these relationships tremendously. Because of this we would love Isaac and your child to have this opportunity as well.
We appreciate your consideration and look forward to connecting with you, as soon as you are ready.
