Hello!

We are Alyssa & Matthew. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. 

We want you to know that we admire your courage and strength to choose adoption. Though we can't imagine what you're going through right now, we hope that this journey you're on helps you find the perfect fit for your child and also for you.

How we started:

Over 14 years ago, before the popularity of match.com and eharmony, there was Yahoo chat. This is where we first started chatting and easily connected. We would chat for hours about everything and anything, during this time we discovered we were both in marching band and wanted to get our Master’s degrees in our respective fields. We both value family, friends, education, and the arts. We then evolved to Skype and started video chatting. After a few months, we made the choice to finally meet and the rest is history. 

How it's going:

Now, it has been over 5 years since we both said, "I do" and more than 14 years together. We still make each other laugh and smile every day. We truly are each other's best friend and biggest cheerleader. We have a saying when faced with any bumps in life- "We may not have it all together, but together we have it all."

Our interests range from a deep love of food to Star Wars. When a new local restaurant opens up in our community we are one of its first patrons, as well as watching the newest movie or tv show from the Star Wars universe. Together, we enjoy hiking close to home at High Cliff State Park with our dogs, Mable & Ramsey, seeing a Broadway show at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center, or go axe throwing with our chosen family. We also have a large collection of board games that we look forward to sharing with our child. 

 What we hope for:

Through open communication, we want to develop a relationship of trust to have an open adoption whatever that may look like for you. We believe it takes a village and the more people that will love our child, the better. As we hope you'll see, family is everything to us and they are just as excited to give their love and support, as we are. 

Our hope is to pass down the values of living life with an open heart and open mind. A child in our family will be raised to accept others for who they are and to understand the impact they have on the world around them. We believe in leading by example, seeking to understand others before being understood, and to show love every day.

We would like to thank you again for taking the time to learn about us, and we hope you felt some sort of connection. We are committed to building a positive relationship through an open adoption and we hope we get a chance to share that with you.
