Hello! We are George and Alison.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and consider us as adoptive parents to your child. We know that this is one of the hardest decisions you have ever made. We hope that our profile can give you a good idea about who we are and if we might be a good match for you and your baby.
We met in 2017 via an online dating app. George was in medial school and Alison was working as a speech-language pathologist in an elementary school in IL. We dated for three years before getting married in the summer of 2020. We have been together through medical school, residency training, the COVID-19 pandemic, moving to WI, and health concerns. Together we have weathered the storm of life. We are a great team and make each other better people. We love enjoying nature together by kayaking or hiking. We also enjoy trying new restaurants, watching movies and TV, and hanging out with our friends and family.
We live in Oshkosh and think it will be a great community in which to raise a child. We have a close knit group of friends as well as a supportive church community in town. Our friends are so excited to love a new little one. We live in a single family home with a big backyard with a playset. Our parents live an hour to two away, but have offered their unconditional support in helping with their new grandchild. George and Alison both have sisters who are equally as excited to meet their new nephew or niece. Between our friends and family, our child will have a whole village of people to love and support them.
George is a family medicine physician. He enjoys working with those in our community to help them be the healthiest version of themselves. George is kind, funny, and empathetic. He loves playing video games and spending time with the ones he loves. Alison is currently taking time off from her career as a speech-language pathologist to focus on adoption and stay home full time with our child for a while. She is a passionate, empathetic, and silly person. She enjoys leading her church's children's ministry and acting in community theatre productions. Together we live a full life of community and creativity.
Our desire as parents is to learn and love our child. We want to support them in becoming their true unique self. This includes understanding their background and adoption story. We are hopeful that we can establish a relationship with you that is beneficial to you and your child. We want this journey to honor all persons in the adoption triad (birth parents, adoptive parents, and adoptee). We wish you the best of luck with your decision.
Peace and love,
George and Alison
