Hello!

We are Jill & Andy and we thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about us. We have known each other for over 7 years and have been married for almost 6 of them. Jill was born and raised in the Midwest, having been born on the banks of the Mississippi, and arrived in Milwaukee after time in Illinois & Tennessee. Andy was born in Florida, though his parents are from the Midwest. When he was two, he moved to Seattle where he spent most of his formative years. His family finally settled back in the Milwaukee area when he was going into his junior year of high school. A little over a year ago, moved out of our home in the city to a farmhouse in the country to be closer to his parents.

Our home was built in 1900, and while quaint, was incredibly outdated when we purchased it. Andy has been the primary contractor and has transformed the layout. Room by room we have worked together to keep original statement pieces while making it our own.  With it’s now vaulted ceilings, large kitchen/living area, and four bedrooms we believe it is a comfortable and beautiful home to grow up in.  We love the history that we have with many artifacts dating back to the early 1900’s being preserved. The fact we’ve done the work ourselves is also quite special. We are looking forward to sharing our life with a child.

When we aren’t working on a home update, we love to travel and be outdoors. With extended family in 26 different states, we always have a place to call home. While at home you can find us four-wheeling, gardening, hosting bonfires, or taking the boat out for a spin. Our Labradors love going on adventures too. We take in many walks and bike rides, but swimming in the lake is their absolute favorite.

Whether it’s just the two of us or surrounded by our family and friends we’re happy to be enjoying the moment.

We have a strong support system with both sides of the family. Jill is the third oldest of ten children with two loving and supportive parents while Andy is the middle of three boys with two loving parents who live minutes away.  On Sundays, we gather as a family for brunch each week.

We are excited to become first-time parents. There are many nieces and nephews on Jill’s side, but we will be the first to give Andy’s parents a grandchild. Due to the flexibility of our careers and Andy’s mom, we won’t need to use daycare. As you will hopefully see in our pictures, family is incredibly important to us.  We’ll provide a loving and safe home for our future child as we support and nurture them in their education and interests.

We recognize the importance of a child’s birth family and want to be supportive of you and your family in the way you desire to be supported. We are open to an open, semi-open, or private adoption but would prefer some openness if you are willing.

 In our hearts,

Jill & Andy
