Hello, we’re Kris and Lesley. Thank you for looking at our profile! We have so much respect for you and the love and courage it takes to consider an adoption plan for your child.
A little bit about us: we met at a dance at the UW Memorial Union and fell in love; we had a summer wedding a few years later, and we were legally married in 2015. Kris grew up in Madison, and Lesley moved to Madison in 2000 from the Chicago-area (where she was born and raised). In the 15 years we have been together we’ve created a life full of love, laughter, and compassion–ready to welcome a child through adoption.
We have a house on the westside where we live with our dog, Paulie– a silly, smart, and pumpkin-colored labrador. We love spending time at home: cooking together, hanging out on our three-season porch and playing board games. We also enjoy movies, gardening, and taking Paulie on walks around our neighborhood. We live near lots of parks and nature trails, and we are walking distance to great schools and libraries. We value community, education and learning, and our work reflects this. Kris is a librarian at a community college, and Lesley is the director of a public health leadership institute.
We are very close with our family; we love having everyone at our home for the holidays, and frequently travel together. We always have fun exploring new places and look forward to sharing these adventures with a child. Our family and close friends have shown us incredible love and support in our journey to become parents. Kris’s mom lives in town, and Lesley’s parents are moving to Madison to be closer to their future grandchild(ren). Lesley also has a sister who lives in Atlanta with her husband (and their two dogs), and they can’t wait to be an aunt and uncle. Family is so important to us, and we are excited and ready to be parents!
We are honored that you took the time to read our profile and would welcome the opportunity to get to know you.
