If the child you welcomed to your home through adoption was born in another state, Adoptions of Wisconsin can perform the necessary post placement services and complete all needed reports.
The number of post placement visits and length of post placement contact is set by the state in which the child was born. Typically a face-to-face visit is required once per month. Some states require a visit every other month. If the adoption is finalized in another state, Adoptions of Wisconsin still has to follow Wisconsin law and conduct an in-person post placement visit every month until finalization.
Adoptions of Wisconsin is also happy to provide post placement services and reports for children born outside of the United States. Such services are often required in connection with their immigration filings and family petitions (I-130).
